Countrywide celebrations of Tagore’s birthday

Amra Kajan Shilpi Goshthi (AKjSG), one of the leading cultural organisations of Bogra, arranged a century-old traditional festival of the country, Nabanna at Wood-burn Government Public Library in Bogra town on Saturday evening.
On the outset of the cultural programme, a short discussion was held in the venue, following which it was inaugurated.
Dances performed by local artistes followed, after which sweets were distributed among the guests at the event.
The birth anniversary of Tagore was observed with a discussion, dance performances and poetry recitation in Bogra, at Shaheed Titu Milenayaton on Friday. The cultural programme was arranged by Amra Kojon Shilpi G
osthi, a leading local cultural organisation in the town.
At the cultural programme named “O Amar Desher Mati”, features dances and poems.
Deputy Commissioner of Bogra, Safiqur Reja Biswas was present as chief guest. The programme was presided over by Abdus Samad Polash.
In his speech, the chief guest said Tagore was a torchbearer of Bengali literature and Bangladesh through his songs and literary works.
